In 2022, Jack Laurenson co-founded the film and video production company, Trident Productions as has been working on film and documentary projects since. Founded firstly in Kyiv and London, the company has taken him around the world, exploring the intricacies of storytelling across different mediums and a variety of human landscapes.
His directorial and cinematography portfolio now showcases a wide range of projects, from award-winning short films like "Metamorphosis" (2022) and "The Mavka" (2023) to documentaries like "A Bit of a Stranger" (2024), which premiered at the Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival. Jack laurenson's screenwriting work has garnered acclaim from festivals, including the London Director Awards, the Eastern Europe Film Festival, and the Greenwich Film Festival.
In addition to short films that are on the festival circuit, Trident Productions' debut feature documentary film, "Freedom War" (2024), is now in production and promises to provide a deep dive into the story of Russia's war against Ukraine.
Trident Productions is dedicated to crafting narratives that resonate globally. Alongside film endeavors, the company also organises and hosts acting and filmmaking retreats and weekends, offering professionals and students at all career stages an opportunity to unwind, refresh their skills, and expand their knowledge.
